Emily Swallow
The Swallow's Broadway career began with several performances that included High Fidelity (as well as King Lear and The Taming of the Shrew), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Guthrie Theater. Her off-Broadway productions were Romantic Poetry (as well Shakespeare in the Park) and Measure for Pleasure, which were the world premieres of both. Swallow had her first movie role in The Lucky Ones, a 2009 military-themed drama. Swallow was a co-star with Mark Rylance at the Guthrie Theatre in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish,[citation required] as well for Donald Margulies' play The Country House in Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse. Her performance in The Taming of the Shrew received an award called the Falstaff Award. Swallow developed a show in collaboration together with comedian Jac Huberman in 2012 called Jac N Swallow. The hilarious misadventures center around the two as they confront different life challenges in varying degrees of dignity and sanity. The show is planned to develop an original show that is based on the characters. She collaborated in 2013 along with Mark Rylance, poet Louis Jenkins and Guthrie Theater. Swallow was cast in Guiding Light for her debut television role. She then appeared on Southland as well as Ringer, The Good Wife and NCIS. The main role she played was as FBI agent Kim Fischer, in The Mentalist. The character was Amara who was the Darkness in Supernatural's 11th Season. In 2019 she took on the character of Armorer on Star Wars: The Mandalorian. This was her debut appearance as the traditionalist Mandalorians as their leader. Traditionalists do not remove their helmets for others to view. In Season 3 The character becomes more prominent as the plot focuses on Mandalorians and their traditions, not just Mandalorians.
