Alex Flanagan

She was a graduate of The University of Arizona, and Salpointe Catholic High School. Her experience includes working for on the NFL Network, as an anchor/reporter. On NBC Sports she is a reporter on the sidelines of football games, including Notre Dame Football home matches and Football Night in America. Flanagan hosts a weekly update of the games Madden 10 and Madden 11 alongside Fran. Alex hails from Sonoita, Arizona. Kevin Flanagan, a former basketball player at the University of Arizona is her husband. Both have daughters. Alex's father owns two Arizona steakhouses: The Steak Out (located at Sonoita) and Dove Mountain. Flanagan began her journey on her career as a reporter for news and anchor when she was in college. an intern in the student section of KVOA-TV and began covering sport in 1998. She's worked for NBC Sports NFL Network ESPN as well as Fox Sports. Additionally, she was part of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Flanagan began her career as a journalist in general assignments, as well as weekend anchor on KCCO-TV Alexandria, Minnesota. In that role she reported to WSFA-TV Montgomery Alabama.
