Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican producer and actress. Her career started in Mexico which she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were only some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) and the film she also wrote and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress[6as well as earning her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In the following years, Hayek focused more on making films while also playing in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
